I thought it was about time I shared with you an insight into the world of One Tidy Studio and its epicentre my Gin Pink Peg Board!
I had an idea for a peg board for a while, somewhere I could keep all of those little tools and tapes handy without having to rummage through a drawer or box everytime I need to package an order or make some keyrings.
But couldn’t find one that was just right, so with with help of my clever (don’t tell him) other half I decided to have a bash at customising a standard board. I bought this one from a hardware store, pretty dull isn’t it!
We set about painting it with some pink paint from Wickes. This Gin Pink was the perfect colour to add a pop of colour to my studio, and rather apt given my penchant for the beverage!
We also added some batons to the back to allow the peg board to be screwed to directly into the wall and create a cavity for the pegs to hook into.
So this is how it looks. I don’t like to clutter the area too much but it is super handy to be able to just hook things up when the desk is full of half made orders.
I especially love how my mini clipboard from Paperchase hooks on so I can see my to-do list at a glance, I do have a tendency to get carried away with an idea and this prominent visual reminder helps me to stay focused on what needs to be achieved!
At the moment I use little hooks for hanging but I have a few ideas of some quirky little additions that I want to design to make for my studio, so I can even more organised. So watch this space!
