Stuff happens when the studio is tidy

In my bag, London work trip.

Oh my word, I am so glad it’s another long weekend! I have had the most terrifically busy week and really need some down time with the family.

On Thursday I managed to bag a late ticket to the Not on the Hight partner event #makedomeet, which took place at the Royal Institute of Great Britain, in London’s swanky Mayfair. There’s been a few changes with the company over the last year and right at the last minute we decided that one of us ought to go.

It was a great event with some amazing speakers, including founders Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish. They are a true inspiration and it’s always motivating and inspiring to hear from them. But if I am honest the best bit tends to be catching up with the other partners in the boozer afterwards to find out what they’ve been up to over the past year.

I decided to travel light, with just the essentials in a small bag, just as well, as I got a little side tracked and literally had to sprint up actual moving escalators to catch my 8pm train, yes I was one of ‘those’ people.

Here’s what I took…

Mustard yellow shoes Clarks // shop
Mustard floral bag Lettuce // shop
Patchwork purse Cath Kidston // shop
Notebook & Pen Paperchase // shop
Kindle & Case Amazon // shop
Sunnies (from last year but these are very similar) Next // shop
Flirty Honey Lipstick Clinique // Shop

Thankfully I did make it home before dark but only just!

Although I’m now up and working this morning (on a Saturday) I’m hoping for the rest of the weekend off (the downside to having a day out during the week is you still have to get the work done as no one else is going to), just as soon as I’ve finished those last few orders…
